The epic commences with a poet seeking solace under a tree within a chautari during the evening. Recently bereaved from the loss of his wife, the poet is consumed by grief. Despite his intent to compose, dusk descends swiftly. Suddenly, a sage materializes, embodying the essence of the tree. Offering wisdom, the sage reflects upon the enduring trials witnessed by the rooted tree throughout the changing seasons. Through the sage’s discourse on hardship, derived from years of observation, the poet finds enlightenment.
